We welcomed the Participating Artists for the 2013 Maui Plein Air Invitational! 25 artists had been selected to paint during the week-long event. Artists come from throughout Hawaii as well as the mainland USA. They present a wide variety of painting styles, with local and visitor perspectives.

Great 2013 MPAPI event. Gavin Brooks and Colin Page are not in the photo as they were delayed due to weather and arrived after we took the group photo. There was poor weather throughout the U.S. and Maui had its share as well. Wind and rain often throughout the week. Nonetheless the paintings were great.  Mahalo to all who participated and helped make this event a success.

Where available, you can click on each artist’s name to visit his or her website.

Updates with the 2014 participating artists will posted approximately in the September-October 2013  timeframe.

Each year the MPAPI workshops are offered by two of our ‘visiting’ artists from the mainland. It is an opportunity for artists to take classes from professional artists. Classes are usually comprised of local Maui artists, workshop teacher referrals, and those wishing to take a class from someone that focuses on specific painting techniques that are of interest to them.
